The Prince's Forever, Guardians of the Light 2 (M/F) ~ April Zyon

Blurb:

Riley Jensen has always known a lie for what it is. When the lies the world tell on a daily basis became too much she sought out a sanctuary behind thick walls. Only the lies didn’t stop at the door, they followed her and now she has a mystery to unravel. Unfortunately it appears someone else is looking for her.

Hector is a warrior, first and foremost. One who’s been forced to watch generation, after generation come and go. But he is a man with a purpose, a greater calling, one that demands his all to protect Humanity from the evils that wish to enslave it. Finding the one to call his own was nothing more than a dream, until he meets her.

Danger will hunt her. Lies will blend with truths. And only one of the Vestal’s can separate it all to show the Guardians the path.

Excerpt:
He suddenly rolled over her, his larger body pressing hers down into the bed. “I like being very hands-on in my demonstrations. It doesn’t mean that we won’t be having a little discussion, as well. After all, without a constructive and mutual exchange, how can we learn what the other likes?”
Riley licked her lips again. “I think that we should definitely do hands-on.” She moved in just a bit closer to him and rubbed her leg against the growing and impressive erection that he was sporting. “I think that we should get undressed and figure out just how well we might fit together.” That was her first thought, at least—getting naked with him.
He smiled slowly and shook his head. “Not quite yet,” he said softly. Lowering his head, he nipped at her jaw. “There are a couple things I should mention to you. Especially since you’re rather new to all of this, I’m guessing, from your earlier reactions.”
His mouth moved down to her neck, his lips and teeth lightly teasing her. “I’m very dominant in bed. As a warrior, I need to be. I have certain skills that can be very deadly in any situation, so it’s just easier for me to be in control at all times. I’m not saying that you won’t ever have a chance to be on top, as it were, just know that for the most part, I have to be in complete and total control.”
“I’m perfectly fine with that.” She arched against him and bit her lower lip. “I think that I was born to be submissive.” If her reactions were anything to go on. She was perfectly happy to follow his lead and the idea of him being in complete control thrilled her. She wanted more. Hell, she needed more and knew it. She had to have him. “Because I know that no matter what, you will always ensure that I have as much pleasure as you.”
“Definitely,” he breathed against her pulse. When he sank his teeth into her neck, at the point where it joined her shoulder, she jolted against him. The bite didn’t hurt—it was just a bit of pressure from his teeth before he scraped them over her skin lightly. “I think we’ll be just fine in all aspects, Riley. Now, I want you to get naked, fast if you would please.” He pushed up and off her and was standing at the end of the bed before her brain even registered he’d actually moved.
She wouldn’t and couldn’t deny him. She stood and stripped out of her clothes as fast as she could. Licking her lips, she watched him with her hands at the clasp of her bra. “Why is it that I’m nearly naked and you aren’t even pulling off anything?” She stood there in her peach-colored bra and panties, silk and skimpy, with little bows at her hips and between her breasts.
He tipped his head slightly and pulled his undershirt off, tossing it to the side. His hands went to his pants, undoing them before he bent to strip them down. Interesting tidbit—Hector goes commando. As he straightened, he tossed them to the side with the rest of his clothing and cocked a brow as he stood there, naked.
Riley’s eyes were on his rather impressive erection. The man was hard and large, all over. She tugged off her bra and tossed it somewhere behind her. Pushing her panties down, she moved back to the bed. Her body was aching for him. She wanted to touch all of the scars on him, kiss them, and try to get him to understand that she hurt for his past hurts. She ached because of the pain he had endured.
“On your back. Arms over your head. You can hold onto the headboard, if you’d like,” he told her. He stepped closer to the bed, but didn’t climb up as he watched her with hungry eyes. “Then, I want you to spread your legs, bending your knees up to show me all of you.”
Riley did just as he instructed, gripping the headboard tightly. She shifted her bottom just a bit and allowed her thighs to open widely.
A low growl sounded from him as he leaned onto his hands, climbing up between her legs. He brushed a kiss to her inner thigh, meeting her gaze as he began to nibble down toward her pussy. Not once did he break the connection, even as he lifted to give her other thigh the same treatment.
Riley wouldn’t allow her eyes to turn from his. She was drawn to the heat in his gaze. She couldn’t turn away, even if she wanted to. She lifted her hips slightly, biting her lower lip and begging, “Hector, just a bit lower.” She wanted to let go of the headboard and put her hands on his head, but she let him do with her body as he desired.
Her words earned her a sharp bite to her inner thigh. It hurt for a moment, but then he was soothing it with his tongue. Sitting up, he pressed her legs wider as he lowered his head, his gaze still on hers. She heard him inhale and saw the look of pleasure that rolled over his face as he took in the scent of her body calling to him. “You’re very wet. I like the way you respond to me, Riley. Would you like me to touch you, or would you prefer I feast on your pussy first?”
She didn’t know. She needed both, wanted both, and God help her, she was going to scream without both. “Please,” she whimpered and looked up at him with need and passion painted over her features. “I’m yours. Do whatever you want.” She gave full control to him because she knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that she would enjoy everything he gave her.

Second Chance for Love, Massey TX 5 (M/F) ~ April Zyon

Blurb:

Mercy Jenkins is a free woman, at last! Never again will she enter into a relationship without thinking it through. Never again will she be swept off her feet without some way to anchor herself firmly. Never again will she let a man have control over her heart. She really should have known better...

Brant Carver is home for a holiday, not by choice. Going out for a night on the town with his brother is exactly what he needs to help him forget why he’s on vacation. Not once did he figure that he’d end up waking in Mercy’s bed, or forgetting how he got there.

Mercy made a choice to be upfront with Brant about the consequences of their one and only night together. What comes next proves they both have a second chance at love.

Be Warned: anal play

Excerpt:

“Come on, Brant. It’s a holiday, not like it’s a prison term.”
Turning a glare on his youngest brother, one that had made grown men piss their pants in the past, he growled. The little shit didn’t even flinch, just smirked at him. Joshua Carver, youngest male of the Carver family, was a pain in his ass and always had been. He loved the kid, but damn if he didn’t wish he’d smothered him when he was little.
“It’s a forced holiday, not something I wanted. If I’d wanted a holiday in the midst of my biggest fucking case, I’d have taken it. The fucking brass seem to think that I’m an idiot and don’t see what they are doing,” Brant practically snarled out.
“So, what are they doing?” Joshua asked.
He had to look carefully at his brother, but all he saw was an honest inquiry to the trouble. Shit. He’d been too long undercover if he had to see if his own baby brother was yanking his chain. Maybe the brass was right. Maybe he did need a break. Nah, he thought a moment later, they just wanted him out of the way.
“The director’s brat was transferred into the main office two weeks ago. The kid’s been working in various field offices to gain experience. In reality, he’s been making waves, and had numerous reports written up on him. Those are permanent parts of your records, unless of course your daddy is the Director of the DEA.”
“So his old man had them wiped?” Joshua asked. He carried two mugs of steaming black coffee to the table and handed one to Brant. Accepting it gratefully, Brant took a sip and let out a happy sigh.
“No, they can’t be wiped once they are in the system, but they can be buried. His old man slapped a “classified” notation on them with some bullshit security level that means only the Directors of the agencies, DEA, FBI, etcetera, can open them. That or the President of the United States, of course.”
“Of course,” Joshua parroted, rolling his eyes.
Pretty much how Brant felt on the situation.
“So, the big boss gets his kid back under his thumb to keep him in line after all these reports are filed on the shit. What’s that got to do with you being forced out mid-operation to take a vacation? I mean, you look like you could do with a couple days to decompress, but not a month, bro.”
“It’s a big case, huge, headline making,” Brant said. He saw it click for his brother a moment later, Joshua’s eyes going huge. “Exactly. If the little shit makes a name for himself off my hard work, and eight years of undercover work, blood, sweat, and frustration, then all that bad stuff just vanishes from everyone’s thoughts. He’ll be known for taking down one of the biggest cartels around. He can ride that at a desk in any office anywhere in the world, and literally never have to do an ounce of work again until he retires.”
“Fucking hell, what a load of bullshit!” Joshua got up from his chair, and paced to the counter before spinning to look at him. “So this little piss ant is going to get all the credit for the last decade of your life? Are you fucking kidding me?”
“Eight years,” he said. Chuckling at the glare he got, Brant shrugged. “I have no say on it, bro. I might be top dog in the field, but when it comes to office politics, I’m just the fodder they throw into the path of the drug cartels to slow them down and to make good headlines so the brass can shine.”
“Shit,” Joshua muttered. He had his hands braced on his hips as he glared at up at the ceiling, shaking his head slightly. “So, and this may be nothing more than my head doing its thing, but what happens if the kid fucks up the whole thing? Like, he goes in and the cartel ends up killing him?”
“Then his daddy will know he should have listened to the fodder when he said the kid was too cocky, too green, and will die. The only good thing is that my name’s been removed from everything on the case except for some initial work at the beginning. The boss’s brat’s name’s on everything now. Which means, when he fails, and he will, then Daddy can’t save his ass ever again. He’ll be blackballed at best, dead at worst. If he lives through this, he’ll be lucky to get a job flipping burgers at some truck stop in the backwoods of Croatia.”
Joshua was frowning at him. “How do you know your name’s been wiped off everything?”
“Because I made sure it was. If they want to take my op away, fine. If they are going to pass it off as someone else’s then I don’t want any association with it. If he crashes and burns, he will crash and burn alone. Plus, if the kid fucks this up even half as bad as I think he will, then his daddy will be forced out too for shaming the agency. I also made sure that all the other agents on the case had the little shit’s name on their documentation too. No one is throwing this back on me when the kid gets killed. Not that I’m hoping he does, but he’s too full of himself to see where the threat will be coming from.”
“Fuck,” Joshua said. Shooting him a glare, he shook his blond head.
“Nothing to be done about it,” Brant said. He knew better than to keep beating a dead horse. He was pissed, would be for a good fucking long time, but he couldn’t do a damn thing about it when the Director of the DEA said he was out. Not like he could go whining to the President of the United States about the director favoring his snotty-nosed little turd of a son.
“Well, we’re not going to fucking sit here and bitch about it. Let’s head over to The Shanty. We can drink a little, flirt with the ladies, and then drink some more. I’ll get Ali to come and rescue our drunken hides at some point. She’ll do it. She’ll give me grief, but when I lay this on her, she’ll fully understand.”
Get drunk without having to worry about someone trying to kill him? What a novel concept. Brant hadn’t had a night out on the town in too long. A few trips during his time in the Rangers with the other guys, but that had been a rarity.
The more he thought about it, the more he liked the idea. “Fuck yeah, why not? I haven’t had a good night out drinking in forever. Be nice to have to be poured into my bed for once instead of pouring someone else into theirs.”
Getting to his feet, he went over to his brother. “If you wake me up at the fucking butt crack of dawn tomorrow, I will kill you. I will snap your little neck and bury your body out in the middle of fucking nowhere. No one will be able to prove I did it. Ever. We clear?”
Joshua was laughing at him and just shrugged. “At least you don’t have to be up before dawn. I do, so I’m going to stop drinking as soon as the room starts spinning. If I drink any more than that, I’ll be hurting all day tomorrow. To ease your mind, big brother, I won’t be waking you up.”
“Good enough for me. Let’s go,” Brant said. He checked his pockets for his wallet and keys, in case he needed to be the one to let them back into the house. His hand brushed over the small of his back and he had to hide the flinch. He didn’t have a weapon on him. He fucking felt naked without it, but he couldn’t go around carrying it on him while he was on vacation. Not that he didn’t have his service weapon with him. It was just packed away, out of sight and out of mind.
Mostly. Sighing, he scrubbed a hand through his short, dark blond hair. “First round’s on me,” he told Joshua.
“Hot damn.” His brother smirked. “That’s just what I wanted to hear.”
Laughing softly, he followed Josh out of the house and to the truck. It was going to be good to get out, see some of the folks he’d grown up with, and just relax for a couple of hours. He’d likely regret it tomorrow, but that was tomorrow and this was today. Fuck tomorrow.

Fated, Marking Time 2 (M/F) ~ Allyson Young

Blurb:

Reece Murdoch is back in Barrister, Wyoming after his military tour. Ostensibly returning to take the position of Sheriff, he plans to confront the woman of his dreams. After what they’d shared, he’d foolishly believed Candace Grant would wait, but all his heartfelt letters were met with silence. And now she is avoiding him and freezing him out.

Candy Grant is never going to allow Sheriff Murdoch a civil conversation, let alone a discussion. Oh, he’s interested—probably thinking he can waltz right back into her life. Except he’d gutted her, leaving six years earlier without warning and only eight scribbled words. She’s since lived a fast, shallow existence she’s determined to continue, and never get hurt again.

Reece needs a plan, one to address Candy’s propensity to speed while asserting his lawful authority—with handcuffs and a night of house arrest. Will the truth set them free?

Excerpt:

Reese Murdoch slouched comfortably against the broken-in seat of the county’s second best cruiser, gripping the wheel with one big hand.
He found himself sighing. Barrister wasn’t a bad place. Born and raised there, he knew pretty much all the inhabitants. Being elected as Sheriff had been a no brainer, being a military man home from Iraq and all, presumably well versed in weapons and leadership. Both true, except he was hampered by a paltry budget, and the people he’d sworn to serve and protect were scattered over a huge part of the state. Good thing the work wasn’t onerous.
No doubt that would change over time, people being what they were, but he was bored for the most part. The one thing—person—who could easily obliterate that boredom didn’t deign to recognize either his existence or his authority, and he hadn’t decided which plan to pursue in that regard. It’d been months, but if he’d learned anything in the military, it was that an offensive had a better chance of succeeding if one gathered solid intelligence and formulated a careful plan of attack. He wryly admitted he’d come home because of Candace Grant, if only to determine why she’d ignored all of his efforts to get in touch with her over the years. Some might call it closure. He just plain wanted her, and knew enough about women to know that while her demeanor said one thing, something else was operating behind that icy exterior.
In the meantime, there was the odd drunk and disorderly to deal with, complaints about cattle rustling to investigate, a few domestics—and didn’t he hate those—and some traffic violations.
The road dipped to accommodate an arroyo, and he rose up out of it to crest the slight hill. And speaking of traffic violations, the unmistakable silver Bimmer hammering in his direction, trailing a dusty rooster trail, caused him to grind his teeth and war with his responding arousal. Damn her. She was going to kill herself one day in that stupid car, maybe before he put the final touches on his plan. Flipping on his lights, he considered his strategy, noting the way the smaller vehicle’s hood dipped in response to the application of brakes. She’d been flying along.
She pulled the Bimmer over, and he drifted on by to pull a three point turn and come up behind her. Candace hadn’t made eye contact at all, staring straight ahead through the windshield, and he figured she had to know it was him. She didn’t cut his deputies dead. He took his time, watching Candace’s profile in the side mirror, willing his professionalism to the fore when all he really wanted to do was drag her back to the cruiser, handcuffed, and take her home. Someplace safe—and easily accessible for both their pleasure. The plan suddenly came together.
Approaching the open window, he spoke in a matter-of-fact tone. “You were hitting seventy, Candace. We’ve had this discussion before.”
She didn’t reply, instead thrusting her paperwork toward him. Her picture on the license didn’t fit with the stony visage looking dead ahead. Despite the customary, don’t smile, hair tucked behind your ears, dictates of the DMV, Candace’s full mouth, with its eminently bitable bottom lip somehow quirked up at the corners, and there was no mistaking the sparkle in those baby blues. Just as he remembered her—full of life and joy, bubbly, vivacious, and all those adjectives people applied to her. But then, he’d admit he’d hardly given her anything to smile about, primarily because she wouldn’t give him the time of day. That was gonna change.
Tugging the license and registration from her stiff fingers, he decided to play her game. “Step out of the vehicle, Miss Grant.”
That garnered him a wary look, a quick glance that she instantly modified into boredom. He didn’t miss the way she flickered her eyes to her watch. Was she meeting someone? On her way to a hot date? Sheridan lay in that direction, and whatever Candace got up to, she didn’t do it in Barrister. The rumors he’d overheard flourished. Reece had access to a different form of contacts and knew the truth of some of those rumors. He wasn’t surprised about Candace’s interests, merely disappointed he hadn’t been able to guide her and take the journey with her. But he’d done what he had to back then. That she hadn’t accepted his explanation and apology, wouldn’t even give him the opportunity to discuss it further, grated him raw.
He opened her door and stood back, breaking procedure, instantly grateful for the way the door frame concealed his sudden erection, his cock saluting the vision emerging from the Bimmer without any regard for his bigger brain. The top she wore hardly covered her attributes, cried out for him to touch the silky fabric and tug on those discreetly concealed laces. The length of shapely leg revealed by the short skirt flirting around her thighs forced his hands to grip the metal until he thought it might groan beneath his grasp.
Once again his woman was on the prowl, and he was damned if he’d let her take what she was offering up to Sheridan or any other place loaded with men who couldn’t possibly appreciate her the way he planned. Disappointment again soured him, and he impatiently shoved it aside. He’d waited long enough.
“What?” A hint of nervousness whispered through the aloof question.
“This is the third time, Miss Grant. I assume you recall the consequences are for persistent speeding.”
Narrowing, blue eyes locked with his, then a flush of pink colored her décolletage and rose up the long, lovely column of her throat to paint her cheeks. She spoke between set lips, criminally thinning that lush bounty, another crime she’d pay for in the end.
“Give me the ticket, Sheriff. I’ll pay it like I did the others. Help out with your salary.”
“Step out and assume the position.”

Captive to his Wonder (M/M) ~ Remmy Duchene

From the Author...

Hi everyone,
My name is Remmy Duchene, writer of sexy, mostly interracial, ManLove and the spank-tastic Moira offered to host me on her blog! Thank you so much!
The dilemma came when I had to come up with a topic to post about. I may be a creative person when it comes to stories but blog posts and essays, fo’ged about it!  But I think I have an idea. Here goes—when I started writing gay romance/erotica, my men are always close to each other in age.  It was always a little bit of an issue for me when I read books (and they don’t warn me) about men who were ten-twenty years apart in age.
I’m not entirely sure why I was so iffy about it to begin with. Lately, I find myself looking at older men thinking “hot damn!” Before it started out being “I could never date a man more than 5 years older than me.” Then a few more years gets tacked on to my life and it gets to “I cannot date a man who is 10 years older” then it became “oooOooo He’s kinda hot for an older guy….” Now it’s “He’s hot!”

See? See the evolution? I don’t know how it happened or when but all I know is now, age isn’t that big of deal to me. If you’re like twenty and you want to date a 40 year old, all the power to you. I explored it in my newest novel coming to Dreamspinner press titled,  Captive to his Wonder (Yes, this is the book that took me like a year to write and that long to find the perfect title for it so for the better part of a year I called it The Monster). Jace is in his forties and Bradley is in his twenties. Why such a large age gap? I have no idea. I tend to be one of those authors who let their characters tell them what to do. But Bradley the way he behaves he couldn’t be any more than in his twenties and Jace is so grown-man sexy he had to be older.

Here’s an unedited blurb for Captive to his Wonder:

Shipped off to boarding school at a young age, Bradley Ellesbury Jr. was given everything he’s ever wanted. Now the one thing he needs is the one thing he can’t have.

Bradley Ellesbury Senior is dead and has left a will his son Bradley Jr. knows was done to torture him. Still, he leaves his party lifestyle in Paris, rushes back to the small town of Foster Creek to do precisely what his father forbade--sell the ranch and move somewhere warm. He is even more determined to go against his father's wishes after he meets the infuriating cowboy his father hired to run the place.  When Bradley finds out if he gets rid of the cowboy he loses everything, he now has to decide to risk losing it all, or give in to the rabid, sexual urges he was feeling for the cowboy slash Veterinarian slash pain in the ass.

To make matters worse, Bradley's trip home forces him back into the closet for he had no idea how the small town would take his homosexuality. That is until his feelings for Jace Cornielle switches gears from raw hatred to something that makes him want to be a better man.

Coming soon to: Dreamspinner Press

Goddess By Chance, Demi-God Daughters 2 (M/F) ~ Erin Tanner

From the Author...

Anyone who knows me is aware that I love all things Greek mythology. After I completed my first novel, Goddess of Legend, I started to wonder could there be more Demi-god Daughters out there that needed their stories told. To start with I had to decide what Greek goddess would be a good candidate to have a half mortal daughter. I’m sure who I chose will surprise many.

After that I thought about what kind of heroine I would have this time around. Since I’d created such a take charge, kick your butt heroine in the first novel in the series, I wanted to go for a much softer and more vulnerable heroine and thus Arienne was created. As for the god in this story, I wanted somebody a little rougher around the edges with more of a dark side. I’d say he’s more of an anti-hero than a hero and as a result he was a lot more interesting to write.

Blurb:

Arienne Marcos is a librarian with a secret. She has superhuman strength, a genius level IQ, and a goddess mother who is never satisfied. When Arienne lands on the radar of a god determined to use her for revenge, she has no idea what she is in for.

When Chris Triton enters her life, Arienne is unprepared for the long dormant feelings and blazing passion he arouses, but while basking in her budding new relationship, Arienne is equally unprepared for the shattering event that nearly destroys her town and her entire life.

In time, Arienne will discover that her new lover harbors secrets of his own, secrets that could be deadly. Along the way she will find herself caught in the center of an eons old grudge between gods with a thirst for revenge.

Excerpt:

Triton’s eyes opened in the darkness as a soft hand wrapped around his cock. He didn’t move as Arienne continued to fondle him in the dark. Her innocent fascination with the part of him he was so proud of made him bite back a chuckle. As her thumb rubbed over the head, he couldn’t help the way his breath hissed through his teeth. Her hand left him immediately.
“Arienne,” he said in a soft tone.
She remained silent. His hand moved to lie between her breasts where he could feel the frantic pace of her heart beating.
“Sweetheart,” he tried again.
She sighed. “I didn’t mean to wake you. No, I did, but I…”
“You know you can tell me anything. Just say it.”
“I want to make love again.”
In the dark, Triton smiled. He shifted her in his arms until her head was on the pillow next to him. Even in the dark, he could see the expectant look on her face.
“I’d like nothing more,” he said.
She kissed him then, her lips soft and eager against his, and he pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her. Arienne’s erect nipples brushed against his chest and he grew harder. Her tongue slipped inside his mouth, making him groan. The sweetness of her kisses was nearly enough to undo him. Easing Arienne onto her back as her kisses became feverish, his hand reached between her legs where the evidence of her readiness couldn’t be denied.
Nudging her legs apart, he slowly he thrust inside of her and her tight, wet channel gripped him like a vise, stroking him. His hips pumped into hers at a languid pace, enjoying the velvety softness of her. She moaned against his mouth before her tongue slipped to tango with his. Every slide into the welcoming warmth of her body made him pulse with increased desire.

Journey Across Time, Raritan Manor Ranch 2 (M/F) ~ C.R. Moss

From the Author:

I’m pleased to share information about my new release, Journey Across Time, and the first book, Dream Across Time, with everyone. Journey Across Time is the second book in a renewed series of mine, which is now called Raritan Manor Ranch.
Many years ago in a state far away (Texas at that time), I started to write romance. Before that, as some of you may already know, I’d been into writing horror. Still am, but that’s a tale for another day under my other pen name. Anyway, at that time, I came up with ideas for a few stories that revolved around a particular family and a matchmaking cat who all lived in New Jersey. New Jersey is where I’d been born (even more years ago) and raised.
There was a house and piece of property up the road from my family’s place that I’d been enamored with and considered buying if it were ever to find itself on the market. Obviously, I never did make that particular real estate purchase since I live over two thousand miles away from it now, but I did the next best thing. I used it as the house in the series, though please note, I’ve taken artistic liberties with its architectural plans. ;) The house on the cover does resemble what it looks like in real life. One of the pics I’ve included for this post is a blurry one, taken when hubby and I drove past it one day.
Some of you might notice that the first two stories (and the third one once it becomes available) seem familiar. The first three books in the Raritan Manor Ranch series had found a publishing home once upon a time, but alas, as some relationships go, that wasn’t meant to be a lifetime one. Back in their ex’s home, they had different titles and a different series name. Now the books have been given new life through Evernight Publishing. The fictional house and family in the stories have relocated to Nevada, word count has been added, the stories have been re-edited, and the current series title pays homage to a river in NJ that I grew up near. And, yes, the cat (who is modeled after my own fur baby) still plays a part in the stories.
Thanks for giving me a few minutes of your time! I do hope you’ll check out this series and my other books. :)

Blurb:

There is magic on the ranch.

A woman examining life. A man on a quest. Time restores his spirit and her love.

Trent, a man in the past on a mission to discover where he belongs, embarks on a spiritual journey. His spirit guide, to his dismay, is a frisky feline named Myrddin. During a ritual, the cat brings the soul searcher forward into Julie VanAlder’s world.

Julie is attracted to the newcomer on the ranch, but his strange mannerisms and speech dictate she use caution, especially when she learns where he’s from. A botched relationship, supposed time travel, spiritual mumbo jumbo…it’s almost too much for Julie to take.

Can Trent make her believe in destiny and win her love before it’s too late?

Excerpt:

But now Trent doesn’t even look like he was ever affected by the car ride. Amazed at how much energy he had, she sat up and crossed her legs. Boy, what a sight he is.
Trent, shirtless and showing off his built body, strolled from the water, moving with precision. The women around her tittered, whispering fast and lewd phrases about “the hunk.” Her gaze swung to one group of females whose attentions and words confirmed their obvious appraisals of the man. She looked back at Trent. His quadriceps rippled with each stride, fighting against the sand’s resistance. He stopped and wiped his forehead. Beads of water trailed down his light brown skin, glistening on him like pixie dust. He bent over, then quickly straightened. His long black hair made an arc in the air, casting off the seawater. Trent ran his fingers through his slick and shiny locks.
Poseidon come to life. Beautiful Greek god incarnate. Julie sighed. No wonder he's making the women flap their lips. If one of her girlfriends were nearby, she’d be chatting up a storm with them about him too.
Her pussy warmed, as did her breasts. He seemed to be a heady dose of sizzling hormones just by looking at him, making her body flush with desire that rolled into a burning need.
She shook her head. Stop thinking about how handsome he is! Just friends. That's all it can be. With him or any man since I don’t want my heart broken again.
He sauntered over and retrieved a bottle of water from a cooler. After taking a long draught, he proceeded to dump the water over his head. He ran his fingers through his wet hair again. A mischievous glint twinkled in his eyes. His gaze traveled over her, then to the other sunbathers around them. A smile lit his face and faint lines creased around his deep brown eyes, slanted provocatively.
She lifted an eyebrow. “What’s that look for?”
He chuckled. “I am astounded by all the scantily clad women…showing much more than just an ankle.” He watched a tall, thin blonde dressed in a bikini walk by, his head turning as she passed. “How decadent and scandalous...arousing, actually. I may not be able to contain myself.” His gaze whipped back to Julie and he winked.
Drawn to him by his charm, Julie rolled her eyes and smiled back. She couldn’t help it. Talk about arousing. His six-pack abs were right there, two feet from her face. All she’d have to do was lean forward, extend her hand, trail a finger along the dark divots of the muscles.
